Kostya Strilets, MOMSc –
Milton Manual Osteopath
After a fulfilling 25-year career in engineering, focused on designing and troubleshooting complex energy systems, I decided to pursue a long-standing interest in health and hands-on care. That path eventually led me to osteopathy and to opening my practice as a Manual Osteopath in Milton.
My interest in the human body and movement started much earlier through martial arts. From the age of six, I practiced several styles, including wrestling, karate, aikido, and self-defence training. Like many people involved in combat sports, I accumulated a few injuries over the years. At one point, seeking help for those injuries led me to an osteopath. Experiencing the benefits of osteopathic treatment firsthand had a lasting impression on me and ultimately influenced my decision to pursue this profession.
I completed my formal osteopathic education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO), where I graduated with a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (MOMSC). The program involved more than 4,200 hours of training, including over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice. This training provided a strong foundation in classical osteopathic principles and the understanding that the body functions as an interconnected system. I am also a professional member of the Osteopathy Canada Association (OSTCAN).
My engineering background continues to shape how I approach patient care. Engineering taught me to analyze systems carefully, identify underlying causes, and look for practical solutions rather than temporary fixes. I apply the same mindset when assessing the body. As an osteopath in Milton, my goal is to understand how different structures in the body interact and to help restore normal motion and balance through manual treatment.
I have been part of the Milton and Halton community since 2008, and I am proud to serve the community through my clinic, Osteo Difference. My focus is on providing careful, individualized osteopathic care for people experiencing pain, stiffness, or reduced mobility, and helping them return to normal daily activities with greater comfort and confidence.
Through my work as a Manual Osteopath in Milton, I aim to offer thoughtful care that supports the body’s natural ability to adapt, recover, and function well over time.
